Acquisition News | Vidamin Oy
Visy has acquired Vidamin Oy, a Finnish access control and traffic management provider.

Smart traffic management systems
Vidamin, a traffic management specialist founded in 2008, offers agile and scalable access control solutions both for small areas and larger corporate systems. Vidamin system enables vehicle recognition and guidance, integration to third-party systems, and industry-specific customizations.
A shared history
Vidamin has previously utilized Visy’s license plate recognition software as a part of its access control system. Over the years, both companies have offered similar solutions, therefore combining forces brings both strategic benefits and additional value to customers. “This partnership brings significant synergy benefits and further enhances both companies’ abilities to offer customers more intelligent, secure, and comprehensive traffic and access management solutions,” says Visy CEO Tomi Korpelainen.
No large changes in operations
Visy and Vidamin tighten their cooperation to offer solutions better customized for the market needs, while keeping their own product families and customers. “In the future, we can offer our customers even more comprehensive and efficient access management solutions to automate traffic safely and in a controlled manner,” says Vidamin CEO Kari Arvonen. “A strategic partnership with a well-known company such as Visy is a great opportunity for Vidamin to open new doors. Our resources will be better in the future when we are united with another expert in the same field,” Arvonen says.
