The board of Visy Oy has appointed Mr. Tomi Korpelainen as the company’s new CEO. Korpelainen starts in his new role on August 1st, 2022.
Tomi Korpelainen has worked in different positions at Visy Oy for 15 years. Korpelainen has a strong record of delivering projects successfully, solid competence in developing customer-oriented products and services, as well as diverse experience in the operative functions of the company. “It’s great to start as the CEO in a familiar company in the midst of strong growth. Visy has outstanding personnel and a strong customer base all over the world. We’re in a good position to continue the work,” Korpelainen said.
After 20 years in the position, the current CEO, Petri Granroth, will shift to Chairman of the Board. Granroth will also continue in the daily operations of the company, developing key business areas and managing relations with large clients. “It’s ideal that the new CEO has grown right here at Visy. This is the kind of continuity that we value,” Granroth told.
